What is Medicare Advantage and who needs it?

  • You need to be enrolled in Medicare Part A and Part B to join an Medicare Advantage Plan.
  • Medicare Advantage Plans are health insurance programs that act as a substitute for Original Medicare Parts A and B and most often include Prescription Drug Coverage (Part D).

What is Medicare Part D and who needs it?

  • If you are enrolled in: Original Medicare – you should choose a Prescription Drug Plan ( Part D ). It is a separate plan with a monthly premium.

What is Medicare Supplement Insurance Plan and who needs it?

  • It allows you to choose any doctor, specialist, facility, and hospital that accepts Original Medicare patients.

Medicare Supplement Insurance Plans (also known as Medigap) provides the following benefits: Gives you the freedom to keep your doctor or choose a new one who accepts Original Medicare patients, Assists in some medical expenses that are not paid by Medicare Part A and Medicare Part B.

How do I qualify for Medicare Advantage Plan?

  • You’re at least 65 years old or your’re under 65 with a disability.
  • If you live in the service area of the plan you choose to enroll.
  • If you have Original Medicare Part A and Part B.
  • If you don’t have end-stage renal disease (ESRD). There are a few special circumstances.

When can I Enroll into a Plan?
